Midland County Multip Purpose Facility is a 143,000 square feet of new public venue space comprising three (3) separate buildings and a 126 acre developed site.  Buildings include Equestrian Arena with fixed seating for 1,000 people; an eExhibits; Foyer Building; a 200 Stall Livestock Pavilion and three (3) Classrooms and Community Spaces.

    The building’s main entrance bears signature artwork of significant scale that resonates the facilities name.  The 28 feet high steel horseshoe, conceived by Mr. Vandergriff, serves as the gateway to the facility. Centrally located on both the building and the complex’s main entrance boulevard, the art is now iconically associated with the heritage of this West Texas community. 

    The Midland County Horseshoe Livestock Building was particularly designed to meet the needs of the Livestock Community.  The metal building has open space for 188 stalls, warm-up arena, show offices, public and contestant restrooms, animal grooming areas, and storage.  The building is approximately 52,000 square feet.

    Future planning and expansion capabilities were also a key component in the design of the Midland County Livestock Building. Their building’s initial building frame is designed to continue by adding to the east.  This building expansion still keeps essential design components, as prevailing winds cross building ventilation and spectator/animal safety in check.  The building has a strategic animal side entrance and function segregated from pedestrian-oriented visitor traffic.
